Welcome to Kazit. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
Kazit is a marketplace that connects clients who need tasks done with workers who provide services. Kazit is not itself a service provider — we facilitate the connection between clients and workers.
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in Kenya to use Kazit. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Posting tasks: Clients can post local tasks or order digital services from worker listings. Task descriptions must be accurate and lawful.
Payments and escrow: When you order a service or assign a worker, the agreed amount is held in escrow from your Kazit wallet. Funds are released to the worker only when you confirm delivery. If you do not confirm or dispute within 72 hours of delivery, the platform may auto-release payment.
Cancellations: You may cancel an open task at any time. For assigned tasks, cancellation results in a full escrow refund unless work has already been delivered.
Applying and listings: Workers can apply for posted tasks or publish service listings in approved categories. Workers must hold an approved worker profile before accepting jobs.
Delivery obligations: Once assigned, workers must deliver within the agreed timeframe. Workers can request deadline extensions, which clients may approve or deny.
Payments: Payment is released from escrow when the client confirms delivery. Released funds enter a 24-hour clearing period before becoming available for withdrawal. Kazit charges a platform fee (deducted from each transaction).
If a client or worker is unsatisfied with the outcome, either party may raise a dispute. Our team will review the evidence (chat history, delivery proof, deadlines) and make a binding decision. Outcomes may include full refund, partial refund, or payment release to the worker.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a safety risk. Active escrow balances will be handled according to our dispute resolution process.
Kazit facilitates connections between clients and workers but does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services. We are not liable for damages arising from interactions between users. Our total liability to any user is limited to the platform fees collected from that user in the preceding 12 months.
For digital services, intellectual property rights in deliverables transfer to the client upon confirmed delivery and payment release, unless otherwise agreed in writing between the parties.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Nairobi under the Arbitration Act of Kenya.
